I see connections.  By understanding adjacent fields one can begin to see connections, and the world can make more sense.   As a data scientist, I analyze data and I am a psychotherapist and help others to fulfill their potential.

THE BASICS

Angela Tapp is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and has a Masters in Counseling with a concentration on schools and couples/family therapy from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
In Austin, Angela worked closely with Communities in Schools of Austin and the DelValle Opportunity Center where she counseled at-risk students and their families to increase success in areas of both personal and academic life.   She also worked closely with pregnant teens, teenage parenting, and supported adolescents in the juvenile rehabilitation system.  In addition, she worked in a private practice where her focus was on individuals, marriage and family therapy.
BACKGROUND
Angela moved from Austin to Colorado in 2005 where she worked closely with like-minded private psychotherapy practices in the Denver Metropolitan area.  She also gained training and experience in EMDR Level I & II and  PrePare and Enrich.  During that time she effectively treated individuals, couples and families with a variety of issues and developed her specialty areas: children and adolescents with identity challenges, adoptees, anxiety/depression, grief/loss, family/parenting, self-image/confidence issues, and working with schools.
Today, her practice seems to be incorporating her Tech expertise which began prior to pursuing her counseling license and it is evolving to heightened focus on technology addiction.  She realized a need to investigate the impact of technology on behavior with many of her clients.
